Great & Holy Lent

Great and holy Lent begins on Monday. Israel of old struggled for 40 years through the desert in order to arrive in the land God promised, and Jesus began his ministry with a 40 day struggle in the wilderness. So too we Orthodox Christians prepare ourselves to receive the Risen Lord at Pascha (Easter) with 40 days of fasting and prayer in the spiritual desert of Great Lent. If you are an Orthodox Christian who has been apart from the Church or doesn’t have a church home come make the Lenten journey with us and find rest for your soul. If you are interested in learning more about the Orthodox faith Great Lent is a wonderful opportunity to dive into the depths of its riches and beauty. Christ says that “If anyone wants to come after me let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” By God’s grace, that is what we are going to do and you are welcome to join us. You can find the schedule of services here, and you can get in touch with Fr. John here.
